wHo Am I?

I was sitting listening to some songs one day with mind wandering over a variety of thoughts. A question arised from nowhere in my mind "What drives me ?" Am I so obviously "driven"? Yes, I rush constantly from one thing to the next, rarely rest, I continuosly rush from office to home to all etc etc places. Dont you think something drives me or to say all of us.

The next question logically arised out of all this "WHO AM I?". The various answers started to came somewhere from within. I am my parents' son.For somebody I am a brother. Someone else I am a friend. But dont you think these are just the roles we are playing in the life. The ultimate question is "REALLY WHO AM I".

Is the answer to the question lies in the existence of SOUL.I dont know..

Confused.........Still haven't got the answer.

John Grisham, best known for his legal thrillers, is back with another good one.

Michael, the young and suave lawyer, employed with a giant law firm in Washington DC, seemingly has really made it. Good job, good firm, good money, good future, and a brilliant surgeon for a wife, a new Lexus….

One fine day, Mike gets caught in an encounter when a street bum gatecrashes into the firm’s office and holds a dozen people as hostages including Mike. Cops kill the man and hostages are rescued.

Everyone gets back to his or her usual lives, but Mike cannot get over the episode. He wants to know who the bum was and why he did what he did.The search leads him to a shocking reality of thousands of poor, homeless people right there in Washington DC!

Michael decides to give up his career and money and work ’’pro bono’’ at a little firm that helps the homeless in legal matters. Even though his salary has been cut in half and his already failing marraige is over, he persists in his new job and ends up going head to head with his former firm.

This story was sad, as it gave a shocking look into the situation of homeless people in America. A brilliantly written book, that keeps you riveted till the end.

Shivaji Sawant's Mrutunjaya...a classic marathi literary piece...

As i started going through this book.... many thoughts kept flooding my mind, as from childhood only, we all had heard great stories about Suryaputra,Danshur,Sarvashrestha Dhanurdhar Karna... Shivaji Sawant in this literary classic has gone far beyond present authors in vividly putting the whole life of Karna in front of us...

The best thing i liked about this book is the way author puts himself in the shoes of Karna,Kunti,Shona,Duryodhana,Shrikrishna,Vrushali and tells the whole life-story of Karna with many anecdotes in First Person Singular... How lucidly he coveys the feelings of all characters whom he had used as the first person....while reading, our mind races through the thoughts of Karna, Kunti, Duryodhana, Shona, Vrushali, krishna....about the vagaries that each one has faced through their lives....how everyone speaks about Danveer,Mahaparakrami Karna... his struggles, sorrows and his undisputed practice for perfection in all arts of war...

Who so ever reads this book is going to read this book again and again and again.... this captivating, inspirational book captures all experiences of each struggling individal and that makes it 'All in one book' ....As it occurs to every person reading this book, this is a truely great book with captivating personifications and the chain of thoughts that goes on racing through our mind visualising every moment of epic Mahabharta... .

Mrutunjaya Undoubtedly this is the best Marathi book i had ever read

The Fountainhead has been one of Ayn Ryand’s most prolific work.

The story of The Fountainhead is centered on an architect, Howard Roark. Howard Roark was a Brilliant young architect whose integrity was as unyielding as the granite of the buildings he created. This is the story of his violent battle against the world’s standards and conventions, and of his explosive love affair with a beautiful woman who loved him passionately, yet struggled to defeat him. The theme of this record-breaking bestseller is that man’s ego is the fountainhead of human progress. The theme of individualism vs. collectivism, or self vs. selfless, runs throughout philosophy. The story is mostly concerned with ethics, though. The Fountainhead deals with issues of: selflessness, altruism, collectivism, creativity, aesthetics, love, sex, morality, and how to live morally.

The Fountainhead is the fastest book that I have read. I was up the whole night while reading this book and while in the office next day, my mind was on the plot ahead.
Do read it if you get a chance...

DaMn SeRiOuNeSs

“You are very casual about everything” someone commented. “You simply don’t care for anyone or anything”.

At first I didnt gave a damn point in thinking over it twice. But...he again repeated the same after some time.I got it he was quite serious about the comment. His seriouness made a casual person like me to spend sometime thinking on my friend's comment.

After giving it a thought over a plate of hot samosas and a cup of ginger tea I concluded..I dont need to be serious about everything under the sky.

I know what I am, infact I have become casual about almost everything (keeping very few things apart). What people around me didn’t notice is that it’s not about my behaviour, it has become a my way of living life. With experience I understood it doesn’t help much taking everything damn seriously, that’s what I believe. And ifff I do take anything seriously, I’ll never let anyone know it. Because i know how to deal with it. I just don’t want to pretend myself “a sincere chap” bcos I am not.
It creates lots of troubles, emotional, professionally and personal. So sincerity is not something I would like to make public. Besides I don’t feel like troubling myself for petty things and imaginary tensions. With around a quarter century experience on mother earth I felt that the problem with sincere people is that they get serious with any petty thing, without even thinking if it’s worth it or not.Dont you think its foolish. Later on such people find it difficult to maintain same sincerity as there’s no solid reason behind it.

I think a casual approach makes life much easier, problems are solved with a funny aptitude without much tension, it keeps your life cool and comfortable. I have found out that I can do much better in unwanted situation with being somewhat casual and with a little sense of humour without being getting too overburden with situations around me.

Its not that I am always casual about eveything. There are certain things about which I am quite sincere but I dont like to open the sincere guy inside me to each and everyone around me. You need to be one of those special friends around me to meet that sincere devil inside me.

Just in the end ...be cool yaar...always keep smiling..You know smiling is the most highly contagious. Smile is the best gift you can give it to anyone.

While sitting alone if you smile when you think of me or my poor jokes. Mine work is over.

ElEvEn MiNuTeS - pAuLo CoElHo

A new, international bestseller by the author of The Alchemist tells the story of Maria, a young girl from a Brazilian village, whose first innocent brushes with love leave her heartbroken. At a tender age, she becomes convinced that she will never find true love, instead believing that "Love is a terrible thing that will make you suffer . . ." A chance meeting in Rio takes her to Geneva, where she dreams of finding fame and fortune. Instead, she ends up working as a prostitute.
In Geneva, Maria drifts further and further away from love as she develops a fascination with sex. Eventually, Maria's despairing view of love is put to the test when she meets a handsome young painter. In this odyssey of self-discovery, Maria has to choose between pursuing a path of darkness, sexual pleasure for its own sake, or risking everything to find her own "inner light" and the possibility of sacred sex, sex in the context of love.
In this gripping and daring new novel, Paulo Coelho sensitively explores the sacred nature of sex and love and invites us to confront our own prejudices and demons and embrace our own "inner light."
